Voted Forbes magazine\'s \"Best of the Web\" consecutively since Men\'s WWI Era Sterling SilverElgin Wire Lug Trench Watch - SERVICED

One of the first American manufacturers of the wristlet watch, Elgin helped usher in the \"migration\" of the timepiece from pocket to wrist with flair and reliability.

For example, this men\'s 1918 wristlet watch in solid sterling silver is as breathtakingly stylish today as it was during WWI. Strong, exquisite, perfectly balanced - what more could one want from a classic timepiece?

Its perfectly restored dial, with its oversized, stylized numerals, fancy stained-glass hands and sub-seconds register is simply beautiful. And the case! Hand-polished to a mirror-finish with curves in all the right places, engraved as a presentation timepiece \"J.A.Fickel/From Wm.J.Armstrong; Feb.12 -18/Bridgeburg, Ont.\" - it is the type of classic vintage timepiece that looks so stunning on the wrist it is both a conversation starter, and conversation stopper.

Snap open its historic back and you\'ll find a completely and professionally restored, ruby-jeweled Elgin National Watch Company movement, marking time as it did during WWI.

With its correctly re-created two-piece cordovan strap and matching sterling buckle, it constitutes a package so faithful in appearance it could be worn in a period movie (some of our watches have). The timepiece measures 31mm (not including crown)  x 41mm from lug to lug.

It\'s time to spoil yourself by purchasing a piece of timekeeping and history history. Impress your clients, one-up the boys at the 19th hole and create waves of envy among the co-workers with this authentic WWI-era tactile many of our fine buyers and repeat clients know, each day we offer a smattering of things we\'ve picked up here and there, many fine watches and pieces of jewelry that for one reason or another we\'ll not be offering on our Web site – some new old stock! Take a moment to look through our offerings and bypass the estate and yard sale madness for watches and outstanding pieces of Victorian and Deco jewelry – many of which are running and pristine – that are ridiculously underpriced. Watches this week include a \'20s ladies antique watch or two, \'30s Deco pieces, a \'40s military style wristwatch, and fine Retro stainless steel wristwatches that are representative of a style that’s becoming all the rage; as well as gold rings and vintage wire lug examples perfect for restoration. Coming up are sterling silver wristwatches and a few items dug out of the workbench drawer of a retired watchmaker or two. Don\'t know anything about wristwatches? Have no idea about your grandfather\'s railroad pocket watch? We\'re one of the Web\'s largest vintage wrist and pocket watch dealers and are delighted to answer any questions you have about the timepieces we offer or those heirlooms you\'re unsure of. We extend a heartfelt invitation to see our other offerings and stop by to find out what\'s next!
