This is a beautiful hand turned fountain pen. The Classic style pen is crafted from highlyfigured Claro Walnut Burl, also called Northern California Walnut, growingbetween Fresno and the San Francisco Bay area.Burl is a lumpy outgrowth that forms on a tree as a result of parasitesor some other type of damage; the wood found within these burls is oftenspectacularly figured due to the inherently erratic grain. The pen coloring ranges from light to darkerbrown with intense black overtones resulting from the fact that it is a pieceof burl. It is a truly beautiful pen.

Care
Refills are readily available, in many different colors, at alloffice supply stores. Ask for the“International” size, which are 1 ½” long.To change the fountain pen ink cartridge, unscrew the pen nib andreplace the used cartridge with a new one, applying slight pressure to seat thenew cartridge. Replace the pen nib andyou’re ready for further use.
The pen you are purchasing has been hand turned by me on a woodlathe, sanded from 150 grit to 12,000 grit, then polished to a satin finish viamultiple coats of friction polish. Aswith fine furniture, over time the wood will develop a rich patina, which furtherenhances its beauty. To clean your pen,use only a high quality, non-abrasive furniture polish.
