This is an original, handmade mixed media Hanukkah menorah made by myself, Shawn Tyler. The base frame is 3/8 solid steel round stock and 5/16 steel, all welded. I tried many experiments to get a \'bark-like\' exterior, what I ended up doing was coating the steel with some extremely strong epoxy and sanding it in spots, resulting in a finish that resembles the bark of a tree. It is quite large so would present well on a low table, the tallest dimension is about 39 inches and at the extreme width it is approximately 34 inches wide. Yes it holds candles, I topped the branches with candle holders. I added leaves to get the \'tree of life\' feel. I cut a beautiful custom base out of alder hardwood and stained it chestnut, it contrasts very nicely with the bronze finish I put on the tree. .
