Time to bill my case concerning vintage cufflink collecting; one fabulous cufflink after another . . . StayTooned!

Up for sale is a pair of unmarked sterling silver & gold gilt menuki dragon cuff links. Each toggle link has a figural 3-dimensional detailed Japanese menuki of a Japanese dragon for its viewing side. The menuki are attached to a custom cut & made solid silver plaque. There are no markings on these collectable cufflinks that I can find and they test a strong positive for sterling silver. The dragons, although not mirror images of each other, were crafted as a pair for they are the same size and general shape. The dragon has something clutched in its front claw and is looking upward and the other, looking downward and holding nothing.

Menuki are the ornaments use on the Japanese sword to hide the pegs used to secure the blade in the handle.

The cufflinks measure approx. 1 5/8\" x 5/8\" and were probably made circa 1950, however the Menuki are probably older. Theyare in good vintage condition with the above mentioned observations and they are a heavy, weighing in at a hefty 23.75 grams.
