This is a hard to find George Nelson design twist on the classic roll top desk. It is heavy with the trademark stainless steel \'T\' legs with an oak roll top and trim. The side plates are black lacquered wood. The desk surface is a formica laminate. It is a bit larger than others of the series measuring 32.5\" H, 66\" W and 33\" D. It also features four drawers instead of just two on the smaller ones. It has the innovative well at the back of the desk with hardware to hold files. I purchased the desk 35 years ago at an L.A. vintage design furniture shop. It has normal wear and is fully functional. The side plates have a few scuff marks and could use refinishing to make it mint. It is a striking piece of classic mid century design. Buyer must arrange and pay for shipping which I will help facilitate on my end. It is a serious piece of furniture and yet looks deceptively light. My guess as to weight is 150+lbs.
