We aren\'t clock experts, however we do our best to describe and photograph. Please look at the ALL 13 photos below as they are a MAJOR part of the description.We are selling as used, BUT, I believe it has never been used. We found it in a box next to several boxes that contained the rest of the pieces of the Grandfather Clock Parts and they had never been removed from their boxes. Since I can\'t tell you for sure that it has never been used, we are selling it as used and you are buying it as is and no return. We bought this mechanism in its original box, but after we took it out to photograph, we couldn\'t figure out how to get it back in the box so it could be shipped safely. So I will find a bigger box, wrap the mechanism in plenty of bubble wrap and make sure there is additional padding in the box around the bubble wrap.Information we found while researching : \"
