Selections from theKoran And Prayers in Arabic and Ottoman Turkish. 16 leaves(32 pages), with 3 leaves empty. size: 11.7x 17.4 cm; 15 lines to a page.Beautifully writtenin excellent, clear, and elegant naskhī script; in black ink; the Arabic text isvocalized throughout. Gorgeous calligraphy.

Headingsof chapters are marked in gold strips. Allverses are separated by gold and colors rosettes. All pages are ruled in several lines of blue andgold. All the colors used here are natural and the gilt is 24 carrot gold.

Undated, but most likely from the eighteenth century. Boundin full brown leather, covers embossed in gilt in an arabesque design, with aflap in the traditional Islamic bookbinding.Minor smudging, otherwise a lovely piece. In excellent condition. [code:K66]
