*Up for sale here is an extremely rare medium amber colored J.C. BUFFUM ale bottle, which is highly whittled and crude. This one may be the best one out there, since it looks like it was never in the ground, and never pro cleaned (tumbled) in any way. This killer example came out of a long time bottle collection, that was put away for many years. Bottle is hammer whittled, and is more so in person. This gutsy quart ale is in near mint condition, sparkling clean, with barely any wear. Bottle has no chips, checks, pings or dings.

*It is strongly embossed on the front, as it crudely reads ~ \"J.C. BUFFUM & Co (arch) / PITTSBURGH. Pa\". It has the crudely applied on double collared top. On the base it has the bold Pittsburgh, Pa. glass house initials ~ \"C&I\", Cunningham and Ihmsen, Pittsburgh, Pa. (1865-1878). Bottle would date from about 1870. This handsome gutsy bottle measures 9 3/8 inches tall, and 3 1/2 inches in diameter. You will be extremely well pleased with this killer example.
