Hand carved and engraved. Nice and deep carving, the 30 Harley Davidson are gorgeous machines.

I think this has very nice eye appeal.

Hand carved and engraved by tom maher in 2017. This has my 3 legged buffalo on the reverse (one leg surgically removed (all in good fun). I think this has very nice eye appeal. The reverse is a bit dark which is the way I found it.

The hobo nickel is a sculptural art form involving the creativemodification of small-denomination coins, essentially resulting inminiature bas reliefs. The nickel, because of its size, thickness,and relative softness, was a favored coin for this purpose. However,the term hobo nickel is generic, as carvings have been made from manydifferent denominations. Due to its low cost and portability,this medium was particularly popular among hobos, hence the name.
