Presented today is this this tiny Hopi Kachina doll, depicting the Ahola Kachina, one of the most important of the Chief Kachinas. He is rarely carved, because of his fierce-somepower.Standing adiminutive4 inches tall, he was carved by Anthony David, of Polacca, around 2000. Anthony was taught the art of carving by his good friend Richard Gorman. This example of his work is part of an immense collection of a world-class collector, who is down-sizing. If miniature Kachinas appeal to you, then you are certainly in for a treat, because i am going to be making about 60 of them available in the coming days.
