This is an extraordinarily beautiful, stunning, very high-end, investment quality pot. Measures3.5” h with a 2” opening & a 20” circumference at its’ widest point (the diameter from side-to-side is 7\"). Exceptional patina with butterfly pattern in like new condition. Rachael& her sister, Jean, are the daughters of Priscilla Nampeyo, and are members of the Corn Clan.They are both featured in “14 Families & Hopi-Tewa Pottery 500 Artists,”in Alan & Carol Hayes books on Southwestern Pottery, and many others.They use all natural pigments from the bee plant, wild spinach, etc. Rachael is the daughter of PriscillaNaming Nampeyo and the sister of Jean & Nyla Sahmie.This traditionally hand-made, yucca brush painted, sheep dung fired pot looks perfect, with amazing blush coloration and is a rare find.
