Jeré Steamboat

An original mid-century sculpture by C. Jere; a large river steamboat, cleverly crafted of mixed metals. Corrugated and filigree brass pieces combined with tubes and rods. Wirecircles form clouds of billowing steam. It\'s very solid and can sit on a tabletop, as shown, or hang on a wall from two built-in hanging brackets. Parts of the boat are painted red, and the whole thing has a nice patina. It dates to the 1970s, when Curtis Freiler and Jerry Fels partnered to form C. Jeré, and a line of innovativeartworks and decorative items. A great piecesure to complement any collection.

48\" across, 18 3/4\" high, 5\" deep.

Overall very good condition! Some minor bends here and there. One broken joint attaching steam cloud to smokestack; still structurally stable. Two minor breakages in steam circles. Some oxidation to metals, dirt and dust in crevices.
