Base is wood and the rest is a heavy synthetic similar to what Marwal uses. Weight is a whopping 21 lbs before packing. Height is 42 3/4\" to the top of the harp, 31\" to the top of the socket, it is about 8\" diameter at the bunches of grapes, base is 5 1/2\" square. Switch is 3 way and works well although the switch is slightly bent, wiring looks good. Several very teeny nicks to some of the grapes or leaves--very teeny. Finish on the wood is still nice. Very unusual lamp. If you like to drink or make wine or own a vineyard this one is for you. Nice high quality lamp from a reputable maker. 40/13/13/12d 30b12ds 11/26/2010
