Description: Inspired by the many hummingbirds that are attracted to the gardens and ponds surrounding his countryside studio, this sculpture is one of the artist’s favorites. A gorgeous base of amethyst crystal supports this lovely figurine of hand blown glass. Standing approximately 5 inches tall to the tip of its wings, this hummingbird sips nectar from one of two delicate flowers. The imported amethyst base has been hand selected by the artist to complement each individual sculpture. Made from borosilicate crystal and trimmed with 24K gold, the brilliant rainbow of colors, including violet, pink, purple and blue, is created when pure gold is applied to the glass while it is still molten. Your purchase includes an attractive information card trimmed with gold foil. Hummingbird sculpture retails at specialty shops for $175.00.
