IBM Slave Clock
This is a vintage electromechanical IBM slave clock, in used and tested condition. Clocks like this contain an electromagnetic coil which advances the hands of the clock 1 minute each time the coil is pulsed… multiple slave clocks would be tied to a single time source and move in synchronization. This clock has a 24 volt coil and the coil tests good for continuity. I do not have a master clock to attach this slave to to test it, but when I move the coil arm manually with my fingers, the hands advance as expected. I do not know the exact date of this clock, but the paper label on the back has a patent date of 1919 and the clock is old enough to say \"International\" on the dial instead of \"IBM\". If you own a steam-heated textile factory and need an appropriately \'industrial\' looking clock for your sweatshop workers to gaze at longingly, this might be the item for you! Sale Terms
