IMPRESSIVE PAIR c1860s PARIS PORCELAIN MORNING GLORY LARGE VASES

Presented is an impressive pair of Paris porcelain painted and gilt vases. These vases date to around the 1860s. The vases are beautifully hand painted with a colorful depiction of morning glories in blue, white, pink and purple, contrasting richly with the dark green leaves. The vases are fabulously hand gilded around the top, bottom, and on the grape and grape leaf decorations on the sides. The quality and the detail of the hand painting and gilding is simply incredible. These are large size, very handsome pieces and would make a great addition to any home\'s decor.

The vases have an accession or de-accession number, probably from a museum, on the underside in black.

The vases are in great condition. There is one extremely minor chip to one of the side leaves, which is next to impossible to notice without close inspection. There is some slight wear to the gilding on one of the vases. The gilding on the other vase is in incredible shape. There is a line in each side of one vase, between the topmost two leaves, which is original to the making and not a damage. These pieces have no cracks, no breaks, no restorations, and no repairs.

Each vase stands about 20 1/4 inches tall and measures about 15 1/4 inches wide at its widest point.
