Offeredhere for sale is a VERY unusual, vintage Taxco Mexican Sterlingsilver hair pin. It consists of a sheet of Sterling silver which hasbeen intricately cut out to form two Indian figures facing each otherin a floral frame. Then the whole piece was domed and HAND ENGRAVEDto give detail to the scene. The hair piece has a \'pin\' that isattached to a safety chain; the pin is made of thick silver wire,quite heavy and sturdy. It has a heavy silver ball that has a fewdings on it. The piece is fully \'functional\' and would be a fantastic\'bun pin\'. Or...you could re-purpose it and put it on a bag or box!It is marked with a crown and Hecho en Mexico, SLOO925. The OO couldindicate Taxco and of course the 925 is for Sterling silver. I lookedin my reference books on Mexican Hallmarks, and I know I\'ve seen thismark before, but could not find it. Help! The piece appears to bequite old and has wonderful patina! “Hair ware” collectors,here\'s one for you!
