I\'ve had this a long time and bought it from a sale that had lots of vintage and antique items. I never really looked at it closely and thought it was a clown and his dog. I just looked at it closely and GOLLY it\'s not a dog. IT\'S A LION! A BABY LION! And, it looks like a Chinese lion. The bottom is stamped in red with Chinese characters and \"Made in China\". It is porcelain and stands just over 5.5 inches tall. I have collected clown figurines for a long time and have never seen one like this. It is very nicely done, especially with the gold trim, including the lion\'s eyes. I have no idea what the clown is holding in his hand, kind of looks like a blueberry ice cream cone. (Do lions like ice cream?) This is quite old and I have no idea how old. I have not been able to locate another even close to it on line. It is in excellent condition, no problems at all that I can see.
