This display consists of a gloss finished cherry stained oak display base featuring distinctive gold on black graphics plus emblems for the 3 participating U.S. Marine divisions, resting in this base are 8 2\" tall sample vials containing beach sand that was carefully collected at all 7 of Iwo\'s invasion beaches which were named Green, Red 1 & 2, Yellow 1 & 2 and Blue 1 & 2, also included is an 8 vial containing fine sand (or ash) that was collected right at the location where the U.S. Flags were raised at the summit of Mount Suribachi, in addition to the vials a document/photo package is also included which contains a signed certificate of authenticity, 12 color photos of the island as it exists today, a map showing the invasion beaches plus a bonus shot of the original Flags that were raised on Iwo during the battle...
