Hi! I\'m selling my nice Iida banjo! I\'m not sure of the model, perhaps a 220 or 225 and it would have been made about 1976 or so, at the very peak of quality Japanese instrument making.It\'s a classic bottlecap, a light-weight model with a very sonorous bell-like, chimey tone, as good alumimum banjos tend to have. It plays well, and is in excellent shape for an instrument almost 40 years old. Very few scrathes or dings. The photographs tell the story.I\'m not the original owner, but I\'ve had it for some time, and taken good care of it, as have the previous owners. I\'ve installed a quality Five-Star geared tuner for the fifth string, but otherwise the instrument is stock (as far as I know). The bridge is a vintage Grover Acousticraft. I\'ve recently tuned the head with a drumdail, and installed new strings.I\'m including a new nylon/canvas strap (a $10 value) and also the carrying case, which might be original. It\'s not an expensive one, rather, it\'s the standard chipboard cases which abounded back in the 1970\'s, but this one is in very good shape, no tears, all the latches work, etc.I hate to sell it but, believe it not, my psychobilly bluegrass band is actually working, and I need to raise some funds to help buy PA and stage gear. So, what will you be buying? A nice, semi-collectable, fairly unusual, QUALITY student/starter/backup/camping banjo for less than half of what you might pay for a common new Chinese banjo. Why not?
