Illinois Watch Company Executive Pocketwatch

When I purchased this pocketwatch it was represented as an \"Illinois Model 5 19 jewel 1922 stem set\". Upon further investigation and serial number research, I believe the watch is the following:

Manufactured: 1925, Springfield, IL

Model: 3

Movement: 19 Jewel movement, analog, hand-winding, sweep second hand, double roller

Case: Engraved 10 Carat Gold Filled Case by Star Watch Case Company, Ludington, MI

Size: 12S

Finish: 10k gold filled, Nickel finish

Crystal: replacement crystal

Hands: blue, likely replacements, sweep second hand appears original

Serial #: 4674794

Condition:

Case is in beautiful condition. Completely original except for crystal and hands. Beautifully engraved case and crown. Both front and back are screw off. Replacement crystal. It appears to me that the hands are replacements. Crystal has no scratches as seen in the images. Case shows normal wear for a watch of this age but the engraving is in very nice condition with very little to no engraving detail being worn. The initials \"J J\" are engraved on the back case.

Face: Face shows a fair amount of foxing around the entire perimeter outside the numerals as shown in the photos. Center of the face looks good with minor foxing.

Movement is marked \"Executive / Illinois Watch Co. / Adjusted 3 Positions / 19 Jewels / Double Roller / 4674797\". Face is foxed yet original, marked \"Illinois\" Movement inside is immaculately clean. 19 Jewel Movement. Movement appears to have been cleaned and oiled. There is an occasional sticking point at the 6 to 7 o\'clock position when setting the pocketwatch, though the pocketwatch runs smoothly.
