The Japanese soldier of WW2 was a resourceful, resilient fighter, loyal to his Emperor and willing to undergo tremendous hardships. He would, as John Wayne once said, \"just as soon die as stick a nickel in a jukebox\". IJAofficers of WW2 carried high quality binoculars to scan the horizon for enemy activity. This pair of Imperial Japanese Army WW2 IJA OFFICER 6X9.3 BINOCULARS are in good condition, with the eye pieces remaining difficult to adjust, and currently set at different heights, a small area of scratching to the left prism, some scattered dark spotting to the optics,a hairline vertical crack down the inner left gripping surface,some patina to the top prism covers,some scattered wear to the darkened finish of the brass hardware,a spot of whitish patina to the lower left eye piece, some scattered drying and darkening to the leather portions of the neck strap, some dark soiling and edge nicking to the web portion of the neck strap, missing the eye cups, and with some scattered age wear evident (most pictured). Otherwise, the binoculars are in fine shape, with no other damage, and retain approximately 80% of the original darkened finish throughout. Most interestingly, theyfeature the original khaki web and brown leather neck strap,boast crisp and fairly clear optics with a crosshairs range-finding reticle, and are stamped \"6 X 9.3\" at the top right prism cover, along with \"EK\" in a six pointed star, \"No 64150\", and \"J.E.S.\" with two Japanese characters at the top left prism cover.
