You are viewing a beautiful pair of hand painted Ancient Nippon double-handled vases! They have scalloped rims and beautiful paintings of Camellias in pink and green with a purple and yellow background, and other flowers in white, blue, and gold. The paintings on them are not exactly the same because they are hand done. The rims and bases have detailed textured painted designs (moriage). The handles have dragon faces at the top.
The mark on the bottom says \"IMPERIAL NIPPON HAND PAINTED\". They are 12\" High and 6\" Wide.They are in great condition, with a few minor flaws. No chips, crazing, repairs, or scratches. The gold paint has been worn off on parts of the handles, and there are three small cracks on one of the rims. Two are hairline, and one is a little larger, but none go through to the painted outside. The other vase has no cracks, but some yellow paint on the top of the rim. (all pictured, and consistent with age).
Flowers and other paint on the body of the vase are in excellent condition. I can\'t find any chipping or discolored paint.
