Important Ancient Pre-Columbian Jade Beads and Pendants (51) – Museum Quality:
$850.00

This sale is for an important collection of Pre-Columbian jade beads, including several pendants. The beads are arranged on the string in a graduated order, with the largest beads and pendants closer to the center of the string. This string has a total of 51 beads, 13 of which are pendants, the non-pendant beads ranging in size from 11mm to 19mm. The large disk-shaped pendant at the center is 32mm in diameter. These are museum quality beads, and I recently acquired them from a world-class local estate collection. They are as found, with two tags on the string. The newer white tag is unmarked, the old toned and torn tag (which looks to be an antique itself), has a notation in fountain pen ink on it. Since the tag is half lost, the notation is incomplete, but on it, the beads are identified as Navajo. Please see the pictures.
