This sale is for a Rare Figurine Sculpted and signed by Professor E. Pattarino of Firenze Italy.

ThePottery Figurine or SCULPTURE is of twoyoung women - French orItalian (Dancers?) sitting on a bench together.

The Figurine measures approximately 8 5/8 inches in length andapproximately 7 inches in heightwith a weight of 1.012 grams.

ThisRARE and IMPORTANTpiece needs a professional restoration - as near as Ican figure out,2 fingers onone hands and 1 finger on the other hand is missing on the girl with theyellow dress, there is a chip on the back side of the blue dress,plusthere appears to be at least 3chips to the foliage on the base - I think I have mentioned all of the damage, but this piece has been made in such a way as to make it difficult what is broken and what was just naturally made that way - please see photos.

\"Professor Eugenio Pattarino’s name and his artwork are collected by museums and connoisseurs of fine art all over the world . His studio was located in Florence, close to the famous Ponte Vecchio bridge. He began his operations in 1945, immediately at the end of World War II. Eugenio retired in 1966 and his son, Ranieri, continued the studio. Pattarino died in 1971 but his studio remains open and his students continue to work in his style even today. Several years ago the Arno flooded and his shop was severely damaged. Many of his notes and records were washed away and many of his sculptures and molds were destroyed or damaged. There is no doubt that Pattarino’s work will continue to grow in value as the market experiences a shortage of his works.\"
