Beginning April 21 we will be listing some of our best high end / investment grade pieces from our inventory. If you are are a savvy collector, you\'ll note that our prices are way below the retail prices you see in Western galleries.
We have decided to take a new approach to selling these high end items quickly. We are offering this one at our cost. Price has been reduced from $1250 to $700 and this price is firm. Take advantage of our need to sell these quickly.(I\'m remodeling the bathroom).
This is a very large California basket with traditional design elements. It is 19.5\" x 9\".
Condition issues. The exterior of this basket is very nice & looks great on display. However, somewhere in its past it has sustained what looks like water damage over a 12\" circumference area on the interior base. I\'m guessing that a previous owner placed a potted plant inside the basket and the pot sweated or leaked on occasion.
On the positive side, the rim and exterior body are solid without any stitch losses that I can see. The exterior base shows some wear and minor discoloration, but it is structurally sound.I\'ve taken lots of pictures, so usethe close-up feature to examine the condition of this beautifully crafted artwork.
You have here an impressive display piece that would be $10,000 if perfect. I don\'t know where to start with the price, but I\'ll throw a number out there and we\'ll see if it fits. Will consider any reasonable offer. This is an opportunity to buy an investment grade basket at a bargain price.Coil count is 5 and stitch count is 9 per inch.
