This is one of the most unique and incredible vintage clothing pieces I have ever come across! My best guess, based on materials, is that it is a re-worked 1920s dress - most likely remade in the 1950s-1970s era (perhaps as a costume?). In any event, it is STUNNING! The dress is a combination of hand-stitching and machine-stitching, and has a sexy slit on the left side of the skirt.Based on the style, the piece could be worn as either a dress or a coat. It has INCREDIBLE silver fox fur cuffs! It is a cheongsam-style of dress that closes up the side with numerous metal snaps and buttons. The mandarin collar is decorated with the most beautiful metal & rhinestone buttons. The top of the dress (using what feels like more modern materials) is made of a silk-feel orange synthetic fabric. Below this, the dress transitions into what I believe is the re-worked 1920s section, with incredible beadwork and embroidery, culminating in a breathtaking gold lame skirt. The dress is fully lined in a beige silk.**There are some age-related conditional issues, so please read the \"Conditions\" section carefully, and ask any questions before ordering, as I do not accept returns.**

CONDITION -All vintage items are sold as-is. All sales are final! NO RETURNSThis incredible piece is in fair condition for its age, and I would say is wearable with care. The issues it has are appropriately age-related:
(1) The main issue is that the gold lame is showing signs of shattering in some spots, mainly along the left-side closure (however, there is another area of shattering along the right-side seam). I do believe this could be remedied with care and a little sewing know-how. Please see final pictures for an example of the shattering.
(2) The fabric near the top of the beadwork (front and back sides) is shattering. Please see final two pictures for a close-up of this.
(3) A few of the metal snaps and hooks need to be replaced or repaired.
(4) There is some light underarm staining to the silk lining.
(5) A few loose beads here and there.
(6) There is a small tear in the fur on the left cuff, near where the fur meets the orange fabric. Given the length of the fox fur hairs, it is not easily visible.Feel free to message me if you would like more pictures or measurements!
