We had acquired this desk and some accompanying pieces out of a local estate in the recent months and just competed the restoration of them to this condition. When you see the detail in the carvings of this piece you will see why the Italian makers were in many ways superior to the American versions and how they influenced the makers at the begin of the American furniture revolution. The working side has 3 upper carved drawers and 2 cabinet doors that reveal one side with 2 pull out drawers. It has ample room for much organization and storage and a great large top for a work surface. This is really a monumental piece of furniture in museum type finish.
