Antique? Vintage Indonesian BATIK TEXTILE FABRIC blue and white design with shrimps and crabsIn the late 1950s and all through the 1960s my mother made multiple trips to South East Asia. She liked textiles and brought back a variety of fabrics from her travels. She told us that some of these were already older pieces when she got them.This one measures about 96\" wide by about 41\" tall. The long sides have a selvedge edge, the short sides are hemmed. The pattern shows a combination of shrimps and crab like patterns along with other decorative abstract design motifs. The fabric is lightweight cotton (comparable to shirting) there is some very light scattered discoloration. It is overall in nice condition - though I did not go over it inch by inch I did not see any holes, tears or thin spots.
