The firing of the copper reveals a little more of the red orange color, making it more vibrant. The metal is then lacquered to preserve the patina. The \"floating\" glass is securely held in place with cork sheeting and the copper plates. Your art or photo is held within a quality acid fee mat. This particular piece features an 8x10 mat with a 5x7 space for your art or photo. Your art or photo is placed within by un-screwing the back panel, placing the image within the mat, then screwing the panel back on.
