!!!! This is a beautiful hand carved, ornate openworked thick pendant, with a color of very, very light Celadon, very attractive (see photo). This is a delicate of what appears to be dragons on a basket. Whatever it is, it’s beautiful. The pendant, measures 1-1/4” x 1-1/4\" and 3/16” thick, and weighs one ounce. Very delicately carved, has sharp edges, but nice to the touch, nice shine, has a beautiful, bright translucence when held up to the light. In very nice condition, no flaws.

The photos I have taken sometimes does not show the exact color, but I try to come as close as possible, so I take photos with a bright bulb to get the correct color, tint and details.

These antique Chinese jade adornments or pendants were originally worn on the Chinese Robes. These jade pieces go back to the 1800\'s or possibly earlier. Each piece is intricately hand carved on both sides with a lot of beautiful openwork, the artisans choose a symbol to carve and executed it in their own way, none of these pieces are alike even with the same subject matter. I understand that each carving has a meaning, such as carved fish stands for wealth and abundance, a butterfly is a symbol of love and long life, a bat, happiness and longevity. There\'s a long list! You can easily find the meaning of the symbols online. These are the true Chinese jade which were once known to be the finest jade in the world. I have included a main photo, photos of both sides, of the edge, and how translucent they are facing a light. They make wonderful presents and I can attest to that. They can be displayed, put on a chain and worn, or hung as an ornament! These always make a very nice gift no matter what the occasion.
