Isshi Kawakatsu Japanese Listed Artist Kano School Original Painting on Silk. Original Gouache Mixed Media on Silk Canvas with Silk Decorative Boarders framed in Black Lacquer Painted Wood Frame. Artist signed and chop mark right hand side of painting. Lower right corner(NOT ON VISUAL PART OF PAINTING) is a slight water mark stain which can be taken out or cleaned,it is almost not noticable but is mentioned for accuracy. Excellent Painting! Isshi Kawakatsu went to and studied at the Kano School in Kyoto,Japan. He is known and done works of screens and room dividers. These screens are very expensive and run into the $1000\'s. He has produced these screens at the Yokoyama Company Inc., in Kyoto, Yokoyama, Japan. Isshi Kawakatsu\'s paintings and screens are rare!
