I have two 14\" chargers that my Mom had on display throughout our childhood. She stated they were from her grandmother in the Ukraine. Sort of a variation of the dragon themed Raffaellesco Art Frescos. Forgive me if I am not fully up on my art history, but don\'t hesitate to chime in with your knowledge. They are hand painted, light and one was damaged and hastily repaired. Definitely Earthenware. The main center seems to be a fort or castle rather than a dragon. From what I can research, what seems to be a headless bird with a floating head blowing smoke is actually a reference to sailing, sailors and good wishes to them.
