On offer is a lovely vintage Italian (presumed) 800 silver (definitely, marked as such) gold washed powder compact with Aqua/turquoise blue enamel in etched aster flower pattern on top. Much detail has gone into creating this gorgeous beauty! Cut work design surrounds the top floral pattern, resembling leaves. The reverse is spectacular as well, a gilded engine turned spray of leaves dances all around! The edge is further etched in zigzags in the form of waves. The lip of the opening is of the fanciful scrolling form, which adds further dimension of beauty and artistic integrity. If the enamel weren\'t basically destroyed on top, this would be a stunning and perfect item!

I\'d consider sending her off for enamel repair, because she\'s well worth it. I can recommend an artist, at buyer\'s request.

I\'ve thrown in a newer Kigu puff and screen to make the compact usable at once. This is not a Kigu compact.

Marked 800, and very likely Italian made.
