Guaranteed old, genuine and original are these marble based cast spelter metal bookends with celluloid handpainted chest and face inserts, meant to mimic the 1920 original bronze and ivory bookends coming out of art deco France. Made by the J.B. Hirsch Foundry and called \"Lady in Waiting\" showing a regency lady in full ballgown, bonnet and fan in a seated pose. A lovely set with no damage. Paint fading and loss as shown in pictures. Thanks for looking.
