We are very pleased to offer this antiqueJ Conlon Boston wine and spirits 3 Gallon Stoneware Whisky Jug(15-1/2 inches high by 9-3/4 inches wide). We believe it dates to the late 1800\'s.
Near the top it is marked with an impressed \"3\". Below that are the words J Conlon & Co Wine & Spirit Merchants 134 Lincoln St Boston. And below that is a large cobalt blue trillium flower decoration. Quite impressive.
As far as condition goes, there are typical minor manufacturing flaws such as small firing lines, underglaze chips, indentations, discolorations and the like which all antique stoneware jugs have.
But beyond the normal, we do not see any real problems or damage (no cracks, no repairs, and no chips obviously caused by use); this antique jug is in very good condition with no outright signs of abuse (which is quite rare frankly).
Your purchase will arrive safely wrapped in foam and nestled inplenty of fresh cushiony packing material (packing popcorn and bubblewrap), in a strong new box. The entire package will weigh 15 to 20 pounds.Note, there may be white spots from light reflection during photography on various photos that do not appear on the actual object
