Signature: \"J Glenn Beall Jr/U.S.S. - Md\" as U.S. Senator from Maryland, 3½x2 card. John Glenn Beall, Jr. (1927-2006) was a Republican U.S. Senator from Maryland from 1971-1977. He had previously served in the Maryland State House of Delegates (1963-1968) before becoming U.S. Representative from Maryland (1969-1971). An unsuccessful candidate for Governor of the state in 1978, Beall was the son of James Glenn Beall (1894-1971), who was also a U.S. Representative (1943-1953) and U.S. Senator (1953-1965) from Maryland. Ink is lightly spread at end of signature and at the \"d\" of Md. Fine condition.
