GERMAN JDK KESTNER 237 GES GESCH BISQUECHARACTER BABY DOLL 16\" TALL

Reproduction,features:

~ socket open dome Bisque head withrosycheeks, and a dimple on the chin

~ hand painted charming character face,

~blue glassstableeyes with appears to be repainted upper and lower lashes and soft arched brows

~ open mouth with outlined coral lips lips and three white teeth

~funely molded ears

~bent limb bisque jointed body

The dollis clearly marked on the back ofher neck with INCISED:
Made in Germany // J.D.K. // 237
as well as Ges Gesch N.1070 on the lower edge of socket neck.

237 is the mold number .

Besides moldnumber there are size marking with the letter \'H\' on the left side of the word \'GERMANY\' and the number 16 on the right side,indicated doll\'s size 16\",although my measure is about 17\".

The German words ges. Gesch mean the German registration number

The doll is wearingcrocheted booties and cute white bonnet.

Measurement approximately:
16\" -tall
12 1/4\" - head circumference

Condition:came withouthairband without pate, herhead with painted or repainted lower and upper eyelashes and appears to be repainted eyebrows is not attached to thebody. Looks, like her right cheek is morerosy, the bisque is shiny.
All limbs are loose, needs to be restrung. No visible chips, cracks or repairs.

I\'m not sure, is her bodyoriginal or not.
