Up for sale is a gorgeous, antique mixed metal sterling silver box made in Japan, possibly from the Meiji period. The top of the box is so ornate and beautiful. The top features a rose color copper background with raised sterling silver chrysanthemums and leaves. The interior of the box is a black lacquered wood.

The box measures approximately 5 1/2” long, 4” wide and 1 5/8” tall. The box is in overall excellent condition, close to mint except for a few small dings. There are no splits, holes or repairs. The box is marked with several Japanese hallmarks, as shown in the photos. There is a no monogram.
