This is a unique Japanese kitsune (fox) statue which represents a very good diety in the Japanese Inari Shinto belief. It dates to the early Showa era (c. 1930\'s).

It measures 4 3/4\" tall(12 cm) tall by 2\" wide (5 cm). Having been used lovingly and sparingly in a family shrine, this ceramic statue remains invery finecondition.
