ITEM: Youare offerding on a great old C. 1930s wood jointed antique toy doll toy. This was manufactured by the Jaymar Specialty Company and is well articulated and an early example - features King Syndicate Popeye Character Olive Oyl the sailors lithe long time love interest. The original elastic is a bit weak and she won\'t stand on her own.

The Jaymar Specialty Company produced manydifferent wood jointed toys during the 1920s and 1930s in Brooklyn, New York.Many of their toys were character pieces representing familiar cartoon and radiocharacters of the 1920s and 1930s including many King Syndicate Comic Characters - Little Orphan Annie, the Popeyefamily, Amos and Andy, Puss \'n\' Boots, Moon Mullins, and Ignatz the Kat to namea few.

CONDITION: Very good - fine. I cannot tell she might have a little nick in one of her shoes? It is unlikely as the spot or dent has the original paint over the divot so I assume it is as manufactured. Displays very well overall, this is likely the original strings and is not tight and taut as such and no longer stands erect as seen in images here.
