His work is proudly owned by celebrities and people from all walks of life. Jodie is a regular participant in several top shows throughout the southwest and has won prestigious awards in the three media that he works in – oil, watercolor and drawing. He has been featured in Southwest Art and Art West magazines. His paintings have appeared on the covers of several national magazines and Leanin’ Tree often reproduces his paintings on Christmas cards.After graduating from the Kansas City Art Institute, which he attended at the same time as his older brother, James, Jodie worked for Hallmark Cards for several years before moving to Abilene, Texas to become art director for an ad agency. In 1968, influenced by the boom in western art, Jodie began transitioning from commercial art to fine art. His award-winning oils, watercolors, and drawings have appeared on the covers of The Cattleman, The Paint Horse Journal, and the Quarter Horse Journal. His paintings have been featured in Southwest Art Magazine and many have been reproduced as Christmas cards. He is retired and lives with his wife in Missouri.
