This is a James W Tufts quadruple plate Brides Basket aka Berry Basket #222 circa 1890\'-1900\'s. This is a beautiful Victorian brides basket. It is also known as a berry basket. The bowl is not the original, but is a perfect Victorian basket bowl. The bowl is unmarked and maker is currently unknown. There are no cracks, chips or repairs to the bowl. The silver plated holder is a James W. Tufts design #222. I have included photos of his silver catalog in the Smithsonian Libraries dated 1890 with a photo of the original basket. It is a wonderful piece for any collection.
