This sale is for most of the San Francisco Chronicle on the above date (original paper, we do not deal with reproductions). The comics were previously removed from this newspaper, so it is incomplete (4 pages removed from classified and entertainment section which contained comics). This section is 24 pages long, but as stated, is missing 4 pages. It would make a nice paper for framing on a wall.

The section measures approximately 23x16.25 inches.

Condition:

The paper is generally in good shape, but does have some general wear and tear from the ages since it is a former library copy (indicated by a library stamp on front page indicating \'repair div.\'). Therefore you can expect a few small tears around the edges and some general yellowing/browning from time along with some wrinkles and possibly some slight flaking along the edges. Color pages also commonly leached onto the next page to some extent...this is the general description for pages from this set and I encourage you to look at the pictures as well. It was also bound at one time, so there are small binding holes on the left and a few pages may have been repaired with non-transparent tape along the edges. There is a slight crease where this paper was once folded, but it has been sitting flat for a very long time within the bindings. This slight crease is discolored in a few spots. As stated, the paper is missing a few pages since the comics were removed (see above).

Cost Saving Shipping ($):

The vast majority of the package weight is caused by the newspaper. In some cases, buyers are only interested in portions of the newspaper and removing unwanted sections (classifieds, fashion section, etc...) may reduce the weight significantly enough to reduce the weight of the item which will save on shipping cost (typically if brought under 13 ounces for domestic shipping). Please let us know if you are interested in this option and we will see if it feasible.

Alternative Shipping Method ($):

We have found mailing tubes to be the most economical and secure method when it comes to mailing these items; however, we understand if you are concerned about your purchase being rolled.

We are happy to offer flat shipping between cardboard as an alternative shipping method. This does, however, require more shipping material and therefore weighs more. Due to the size of the package when shipped flat, we can only ship flat packages via USPS Priority mail. Please request a revised shipping total if you wish for us to to ship your purchase flat.
