Japan, c.1907-c.1908 ......An uncommon, 105+ year old... finely hand colored color RPPC-Real-Photo postcard with an image of an Oiran (or Tayuu), the highest class of geisha-courtesan, prostitute as she posed with her very young girl maids, attendants. .......The card shows her posed for the photographer dressed in her elaborate costume, white face makeup, the obi worn in the front, the unusual headwear and huge, very high shoes.

1/3 Divided back, in fine condition, addressed to France in 1908 but not posted. See scans for a closer look.
