A beautiful set of exquisitely engraved Japanese 970 Sterling Silver picture frames. See pictures for design of scrolling vines. The first frame measures 5 1/4\" x 3 3/4\" outside measurement and inside for picture 4 1/2\" x 3\". The second frame is 3 3/4\" x 2 3/4\" measurement outside with inside for picture 3\" x 2\". These frames are of fine quality Japanese silver craftsmanship. They have rosewood easel backs with sterling silver attachments. The rosewood backs are an indication of their quality. The backs of most frames from Japan are usually made of felt or a faux fish skin patterned material over inexpensive wood. These date from the first half of the 20th century, and are in excellent condition.Every effort has been made to ensure accurate descriptions.
