Thisis a unique Japanesekiserufrom the late Meiji Era (c. 1890).Thiskiseruis made of two separate bronze ends with a central section of aged bamboo. Both the mouth piece as well as the bowl end are made of a brass alloy. It has an aged patina from over a century of loving use. The last picture shows a wood block print from the early 1800\'s of a geisha holding a kiseru similar to this one.

This 100 year old antiquekiserumeasures 9 1/2\" (24 cm). A truly unique vintagekiseru. It has been well used yet well loved and, along with its warm aged patina it remainsin veryfine (functional) condition.
