For sale here is a nice looking wicker/rattan handwoven Asian Basket. I got this right out of a WW2 Navy Veteran\'s estate, and i think it is Japanese, but it could also be chinese. The basket measures approximately 10\" across and 4 1/4\" tall. The outside of the lid and the basket appear to be signed where the band overlaps. The outside of the basket is woven of very thin stands and the inside is reinforced with a hand woven thick strands. The lid of the basket features round coins with square holes and multiple glass beads. The center strand handle has broken, but the beads have been knotted on. There is one spot on the lower side of the bowl where it has been touched with white paint. This is a great looking basket that will be perfect for use or will display well. You will be pleased.
