DESCRIPTION: Beautiful hand painted dense and heavy porcelain early 20th Century Japanese Antique Kutani Vase. Ornately and skillfully Hand Painted with lots of color and gold. Heavily and artfully painted in colorful enamels with 2 peacocks, peonies, florals and scrollwork border. Gold accents and spray. Signed with a 2 character Kutani mark from the 1930s. Signed by the artist on the side near the bottom border. A lot of different colors used here for great visual interest. The colors are still bright and pop. See the Condition notes. See the photos.
MARKINGS: Signed by the artist on the side near the bottom border. Marked on the bottom with a generic two character Kutani mark in red from the 1930s. See the photos.
AGE: Circa 1930s.
ORIGIN: Japan
DIMENSIONS: Approx. 9\" Tall X 6\" Diameter at the Widest.
CONDITION: Has a hairline crack the mouth where is is doubled up over the mouth to the shoulder. See the last photo. Otherwise, it is in Very Good previously owned antique condition. There may be some signs of age or use, but I did not see any worth noting other than some dirt and shelf wear to the foot. I try to be thorough, but there may be something that I have missed.
