2001 VS SERIES COMPLETE 151 CARD SET
(1ST are offerding on one 2001 Pokemon VS Series COMPLETE 151 card set. These cards were released back in 2001 in 3 different types of booster packs (Grass/Lightning, Psychic/Fighting, and Water/Fire). I have put together the complete 151 set. This set was nearly impossible and extremely expensive to put together. There are 142 cards plus 9 energy cards for a total of 151 cards. You will receive all the cards, including the rare #142/141 Tyranitar holofoil card which most people selling this set do not include. This is one of the most difficult Pokemon sets to put together for a couple reasons. First the cards came in 30 card \"half deck\" booster packs, back in 2001, which were more than double the normal booster pack price. Because the booster packs contained only 12 Pokemon cards (12 energy cards, 12 character cards, 6 trainer cards), there wasnt much interest at that time paying double the price for only 12 cards, so this set did not sell very well and not many people collected it. And secondly, the set was not made in English (Some of the cards were printed in various sets, but the set was not released as a whole). Now, 14 years later, the set is one of the most sought after Pokemon sets. The booster boxes of these cards sell for $750-1100 each, so in order to make this set, it would cost a few thousand dollars.The cards are 1ST EDITION, so the cards have the 1st edition stamp on them. About 98% of the cards are mint or very very near mint condition. NOTE:about 4-5 cards have dents or pressure marks on the back side of the card from being stored in a binder.
